ABOUT KATE

Kate Daley is an award-winning journalist and communications professional who successfully leads high-level editorial content, executes brand strategies and creates compelling content tailored to specific audiences.

As a kid, Kate read everything she could get her hands on, but magazines were her favourite. The glossy pages, the beautiful pictures, and the mix of long and short stories were the ultimate brain candy.

Early on in her career, Kate worked at some of Canada’s leading women’s titles. She was thrilled to be part of an editorial team that brought magazines from concept to printed pages, even if it involved fact-checking the height of heels at Paris Fashion Week, or mailing back dozens (and dozens) of dresses from a photoshoot.

Kate honed her editorial and multi-platform expertise as an in-house editor for almost a decade at Chatelaine, More and Canadian Living magazines. She rose in the ranks from intern to assistant style editor to web editor to health editor.

Kate was also a columnist at Best Health magazine and is a regular contributor at Today’s Parent. Kate’s work has appeared in Refinery 29, Elle Canada, Women of Influence, the National Post, Toronto Life, Macleans, and custom publications such as RBC’s Inspired Investor. Now, she’s part of the brand strategy & communications team at one of Canada’s top non-profits, helping to craft content that drives engagement and fundraising.
